Just about any décor, theme, or color palette you envision can be accommodated in a tent and in any location.
From a country-inspired rustic wedding to a romantic garden wedding. To an over-the-top tented wedding hung with chandeliers and disco balls! Every tent wedding comes with its own budget and logistical considerations.
Here at Artisan Bake Shop we are so lucky to be located just down the street from Sperry Tents headquarters, we are blessed to watch the tents be hand sewn and tested right down the road from us!
Tented Weddings and Your Wedding Cake
Our Top 10 Tips for Your Wedding Desserts in a Tent:
Consider the location of the cake table: make sure your wedding cake is out of the sun. Your cake table for any size wedding cake should be at least 30-36” diameter and located in a level shaded area.
How will your cake designer walk to your tent? being sure there is a pathway from the driveway to your cake table is most important to ensure that your cake maker can safely carry your cake to the tent.
Ask your cake designer to deliver your cake at the beginning of dinner: this prevents your cake from melting
Always get the larger tent: if you have 140 guests and the tent sizes range from 100-150 or 150-200 always opt for the larger tent. This allows for additional last minute guests or the need for additional space for a dessert table, wedding donut bar or ice cream sundae table at your wedding
Choose cupcakes and a dessert table with a two or three tiered cake: guests feel comfortable in a tent to mingle and move around. Miniature desserts or cupcakes let your guests enjoy a portable dessert experience!
