Elise and Nicholas’ two tiered cake exudes charm with its striking, white aesthetic, perfectly complimented with a lace detail that provides just a bit of texture and movement without feeling overdone.
A white cake in the Madera Room at The Villa in East Bridgewater allows the design to shine amongst the dark wood and exposed beams but feels warm with the stately fireplaces at each end of the room.
Elise was inspired by a cake found in Bride’s Magazine by Charleston’s Couture Cake Design Jim Smeal, we were able to recreate this two-tiered white wedding cake provides the ideal base for beautiful details.

The beauty of this design is in it’s simple elegance. Each meticulously crafted flower and leaf is handmade and delicately formed then painted, by hand with a pearl shimmer that gives just a hint of sparkle without feeling overdone and ornate. We seamlessly pipe vines onto the cake and then add those flowers and leaves amongst the true white trailing vines.
Allow us to share a little secret about this design: not every guest was served a slice from this two tiered cake!
Although this design serves 40 guests. It can be accompanied by sheet cakes — better known as Kitchen Cakes making it the perfect choice for any guest count.
Though some may indulge in a slice from this two tiered cake, some guests enjoyed a slice from the equally composed Kitchen Cake “sheet cake”!
The Kitchen Cakes “sheet cake” are composed on the interior with the same number of layers as the tiers in the displayed two tiered cake. That way every slice embodies an essence of sophistication that you expect in a towering layer cake!
