The Sweetest Bridal Shower Cake
This romantic pink and white cake was a joy to design and create for a bridal shower at The Country Club of New Bedford.
This modern, garden inspired floral bridal shower cake gives us all the feels! With dusty pink, champagne and neutral tones this design speaks to a contemporary aesthetic while still feeling classic. We designed this cake for a couple who had chosen Shining Tides Weddings by The Sea for their wedding location. Their bridal shower cake was in the same color palette as their wedding, but had a garden feel where the wedding spoke to a coastal vibe.
The flowers on the cake were provided by a local florist. We joyfully arranged the roses and greenery onto the cake at the bakery. The sand tones, mauve color palette with beautiful greenery speak to the couple’s wedding colors.
Bridal shower cakes offer a fun opportunity to select a confection with a nod to a color, flower, or destination the couple loves.
This couple loved a clean and simple aesthetic with a modern flair. Since the bride chose a white wedding cake, the bridal shower cake was the perfect place to add a splash of color. The cake design was inspired by the wedding's theme and the bride’s favorite color palette: neutral tones with a splash of pink.
The best part of this design is the fact that the exterior of the cake is covered in delicious not-too-sweet buttercream!
That’s right - no rolled fondant with this design. But there’s more - this shower was a delicate garden theme. But this design would look stunning with summer dahlias in a terracotta and peach color palette. It would be rustic in theme with sunflowers for the fall. Or replace the roses with dried pampas grasses and palm leaves and you’ve got a stunning boho cake with a taupe marble buttercream covering.
