An idyllic setting with stunning water views, Tabor Academy has been a popular wedding and special event destination for many years, not only for alumni who have called Tabor home during their formative years, but also for those in the surrounding community.
Whether it is holding a large wedding in the non- denominational Wickenden Chapel and a reception on the waterfront under a tent or holding a small and intimate gathering overlooking Buzzards Bay at Hoyt Hall or Lillard Hall, Tabor has a venue to meet your needs.
We have been so lucky to be a part of so many weddings at Tabor Academy, this particular special day was set under the tent on the waterfront.
A Three Tiered Buttercream Cake with a Dessert Table
With a nod to the beach front location, this preppy design features a navy blue and white stripe detail with classic coastal flowers: blue hydrangea and pale pink roses. Textured greens and smaller flowers add a garden feel to the cake design.
Your florist can leave flowers for the cake, and also have them add a few bud vases of flowers to your order.
The couple’s florist included the flowers for the cake in their floral budget, as well as a few small vases of flowers to add to the dessert table. This detail finishes the table beautifully and adds a styling element as well.
The Cake Stands and Displays Are From Our Collection
We have a wonderful relationship with the staff at Tabor Academy and are happy to provide a currated variety of rental cake stands, platters and dessert trays so your cake and dessert table are elevated and fitting of your color palette.
The cost to rent all of the displays ranges from $50-$100 and a security deposit is required to insure the items are returned to us, as they are rentals.

Choose from a wide range of house made desserts from our menu. Our most popular desserts are featured with this beach wedding! Mini chocolate mousse cups topped with a fresh raspberry - these are so portable and allow your guests to enjoy dancing and chatting without being encumbered by a plate and a fork.
The berry bowl with cream is just that - freshly sliced straberries, whole raspberries and fresh blueberries layered in a bowl and served with a separate bowl of freshly whipped cream. This take on a strawberry shortcake is such a treat for a summer wedding. It’s refreshing and approachable!
